The Gladstone Hotel Was Built In 1889 And Named After Gladstone Avenue. The Hotel Is The Oldest Continuously Operating Hotel In Toronto. I Recently Had The Pleasure Of Spending A Night At The Gladstone(Again My Amazing Boyfriends Doing) And It Was AMAZING. Honestly This Hotel Is The Most Beautiful In The City, If Not The World, Hands Down. The Lobby And Bars Are Full Of Art,

The Elevator Is An Old Crank One, Which Was An Amazing Start To Our Stay. Someone Escorted Us Up To Our Room, And Even The Hallways Are Amazing. The Hallways Are Like Mini Galleries Full Of Local Artists Work, Just So Much To See! We Arrived At Our Room And It Was, As I Expected, Beautiful. Room 411

Artist Statement
"Artists/architects team Heather Dubbeldam and Tania Ursomarzo have created an installation representing a cross-section through the primary planes of the building – walls, ceiling, and floor – in two “wrapping” architectural expressions that are an organizational device for the requirements of a hotel room. An element of skeletal construction echoes the structural framework of the room and wraps vertically around the space, supporting a floating bed plane, side tables and desk surface, while another plane wraps horizontally about the walls, referencing the window in the form of a continuous strip of light. Combined, these two elements integrate all the programmatic components of the room, floating within the existing restored Victorian shell"

New Years Eve Outfit 2011 x

I Am Aware That New Years Eve Was A Little While Ago, But I Have Been Way Too Busy To Blog Lately! Now That Things Have Slowed Down a Bit I Have Some Time To Show You My Awesome Outfit! The Inspiration Comes From An Outfit Marilyn Monroe Wore To A Hollywood Party In The 50's.

Love Her Style, So I Put Together Some Pieces I Wanted From Online In Hope That I Could Look Half As Fabulous As She Did. I Knew I Wanted To Wear My Aldo Whitney Nude Pumps, Because They Are Absolutely AMAZING,

Then I Found My Dress, Which Was The Biggest Suprise Of All. I Looked All Over For A Form Fitting Bustier Style Dress And Couldn't Fine Anything. One Weekend I Was Christmas Shopping In Oshawa With A Girlfriend And Went To Suzie Shier To Buy A Blazer For A Gift, And There It Was, The Perfect Dress!
The Best Part Is That It Was 50% Off And I Ended Up Taking It Home For $26!

I Had Found An Amazing Fur Stole Months Before And This Was Just Such An Occasion To Break It Out! To Top It All Off My Very Handsome And Romantic Boyfriend Bought Me Some Gorgeous Ben Moss Pearl Earrings And These Amazing Little Sexy Stockings From LaSenzaWhich Just Completed My Look.

Here Is The Final Product! Perfect Way To Start 2011! (Not So Great For The Beer Pong And Flip Cup! ha)

Music Minute:City and Colour - Love Don't Live Here Anymore x

You abandoned me

Love don't live here anymore

Just a vancancy

Love don't live here anymore

When you lived inside of me

There was nothing I could conceieve

That you wouldn't do for me

Trouble seemed so far away

You changed that right away, baby

You abandoned me

Love don't live here anymore

Just a vancancy

Love don't live here anymore

Love don't live here anymore

Just emptiness and memories

Of what we had before

You went away

Found another place to stay, another home

You abandoned me

Love don't live here anymore

Just a vancancy

Love don't live here anymore

Skin and Cold

I can tell its almost winter
I can smell the season as soon as you come inside
I burry my face ino your neck and inhale he sweet smell of skin and cold
I never thought I could live without the smell of your neck,
Or your cold nose on my cheek.
I guess some things take getting used to.

Currently Channeling: Literary Tattoos

So I Am Getting A New Tattoo Soon( A Quote From Prozac Nation) And I Found A Great Stash Of Other Beautifully Inspired Literary Tattoos At  http://www.contrariwise.org/   Enjoy xx

“When we grab you by the ankles
Where our mark is to be made
you’ll soon be doing noble work
Although you won’t be paid
When we drive away in secret
You’ll be a volunteer
So don’t scream where we take you;
The world is quiet here.”
-Lemmony Snicket
Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
-The Jabberwocky from Alice in Wonderland

"It's only after you've lost everything," Tyler says, "that you're free to do anything."
~Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club

All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
- Excerpt from A Dream Within A Dream by Edgar Allan Poe

By a mad miracle I go intact
Among the common rout
Thronging sidewalk, street,
And bickering shops;
Nobody blinks a lid, gapes,
Or cries that this raw flesh
Reeks of the butcher’s cleaver,
Its heart and guts hung hooked
And bloodied as a cow’s split frame
Parceled out by white-jacketed assassins.
- Excerpt from “Street Song” by Sylvia Plath

But you can’t give your heart to a wild thing; the more you do, the stronger they get. Until they’re strong enough to run into the woods. Or fly into a tree. Then a taller tree. Then the sky. That’s how you’ll end up if you love a wild thing. You’ll end up looking at the sky. But believe me- it’s better to look at the sky than to live there. Such an empty place; so vague. just a country where the thunder goes and things disappear…”- Excerpt from Breakfast at Tiffany’s by Truman Capote

And I am aware of my heart: it opens and closes Its bowl of red blooms out of sheer love of me.
I am nobody; I have nothing to do with explosions.
And I have no face, I have wanted to efface myself
-Sylvia Plath, Tulips

“I feel infinite.”

And Sam and Patrick looked at me like I said the greatest thing they ever heard. Because the song was that great and because we all really paid attention to it. Five minutes of a lifetime were truly spend, and we felt young in a good way.”
- Excerpt from The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

“Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt.”
- Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughterhouse-Five

all theories

like clichés

shot to hell,

all these small faces

looking up

beautiful and believing;

I wish to weep

but sorrow is

stupid.

I wish to believe

but belief is a

graveyard.

we have narrowed it down to

the butcherknife and the

mockingbird.

wish us

luck.

- No Title by Charles Bukowski
